Objectives of the Core Program

The main objectives of the ENVIRON-RES Core Program are:

1. Techniques and methods for controlling and monitoring the quality of environmental factors (water, sediment, sludge) with the identification/quantification of potentially dangerous/toxic substances in the environment – support for the circular economy;

2. Assessment of pollution and the impact of climate change on the quality of environmental factors and the recovery of ecological imbalances for the sustainable development of biodiversity;

3. Experimental platform for the development of environmental technologies;

4. Sustainable management of resources and the environment for a circular economy.

The objectives are correlated with the targets proposed by the National Strategy for Research, Innovation and Intelligent Specialization 2022-2027, being aligned with societal challenges and the needs of the economic environment.
