SPACE –TIME EVOLUTION OF THE AQUATIC ECOSYSTEMS CHARACTERISTICS – ECOLOGICAL CRITERION FOR DYNAMICS DETERMINATION

GENERAL OBJECTIVE: highlight the spatial-temporal evolution of the aquatic ecosystems characteristics on an emissary track (reference emissary: Suceava river)

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
–    monitoring the characteristics of the aquatic ecosystems and the determination of the inter-dependences between them for water (surface water and groundwater) and sediment environmental compounds;
–    the foundation of the speciation aspects of some inorganic pollutants in the sediment;
–    creating a database and meta-dates that will contain information about the entire period of a year and on the entire track of the emissary chosen as reference on Romania’s land;
–    the mathematical model for the spatial-temporal evolution of the aquatic ecosystems characteristics in order to track their dynamics;
–    the transpose of the mathematical model as a specialized software.

–    4 Scientific papers published in ISI journals;

–    1 Research network supported: Research Center in Process Control Systems – RCPCS (recognized CNCSIS).

POSIBILITIES FOR PROJECTS OUTPUTS:
–    Transfer of results to the National Company “Romanian Waters” – Subsidiary of Suceava;
–    Using results by: Local Public Authorities, Environmental Protection Agencies, Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, Economic entities discharging industrial wastewater in emissary.
